Senior Manager, Engineering
Leads the engineering team creating Webflow’s code-native platform and integrating coding agents into visual and code-based workflows. The player-coach role requires technical depth in developer tooling or infrastructure, experience leading engineering teams, and strong hiring and coaching skills.

Responsibilities
- Set the technical and product direction for code-native Webflow, including high-fidelity round-tripping between visual and code surfaces.
- Lead the integration of coding agents into the Webflow building experience.
- Own the developer experience of working with Webflow in code, including core primitives, APIs, tooling, and feedback loops.
- Turn an emerging problem space into a coherent roadmap, sequencing foundational platform work with customer-facing capabilities.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams across Webflow.
- Stay technically engaged through architecture, design reviews, prototyping, and hands-on contributions.
- Hire, coach, and develop engineers while building a high-performing technical culture.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams building developer products, platforms, or technically complex product surfaces.
- Technical depth in areas such as compilers, code generation, language tooling, IDEs, or developer infrastructure.
- Experience building with AI or agentic systems, or the ability to quickly develop deep expertise in the area.
- Track record of turning ambiguous technical problems into usable customer-facing systems.
- Ability to balance long-term architecture with the pressure to ship and learn.
- Leadership style combining high technical standards with coaching and team development.
- Curiosity and openness to emerging technologies such as AI.
Compensation and Benefits
- United States base salary ranges, in USD: Zone A: $248,000-$310,000; Zone B: $233,600-$292,000; Zone C: $217,000-$272,000.
- Canada base salary range for workers in Ontario and British Columbia: 270,000-338,000 CAD.
