Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for the market data and analytics domain, aligning priorities with Institutional product goals and driving execution from planning through delivery.
- Lead and grow a team of 5–10 engineers through coaching, career development, and high standards for technical excellence.
- Partner with Product, Design, and engineering teams across Exchange, Derivatives, Prime, and Risk to scope, sequence, and ship capabilities.
- Drive data accuracy, reliability, and performance for index pricing and market data feeds with strict correctness, latency, and uptime requirements.
- Shape engineering culture and hiring, building a strong talent pipeline and maintaining high standards for code quality and operational rigor.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Experience delivering real-time data, market data, or financial infrastructure systems processing high volumes with strict accuracy and reliability requirements.
- Fluency in systems design, streaming and data pipelines, and at least one backend language such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or C++.
- Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and retaining senior engineers.
- Experience partnering with Product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into engineering plans and milestones.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: $218,900–$256,500 USD.
- Additional compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility, plus medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
