Own Rain’s onchain product roadmap across smart contracts, chain and asset integrations, settlement, treasury, and blockchain infrastructure. The senior PM will partner with engineering, security, compliance, legal, and institutional customers while bringing deep blockchain fluency and 8–10 years of product management experience.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for Rain's onchain product, including smart contracts, chain and asset coverage, settlement, and payments.
- Partner with engineering on protocol and infrastructure tradeoffs, including contract architecture and upgradeability, collateralization and liquidation logic, node/RPC reliability, gas and fee strategy, bridging, and cross-chain messaging.
- Decide which chains, assets, and stablecoins Rain supports based on liquidity, security, cost, partner demand, compliance considerations, and regulatory exposure.
- Drive the security bar for onchain work through audits, monitoring, incident response, and operational guardrails.
- Translate complex protocol and blockchain infrastructure into intuitive product surfaces and clear partner-facing documentation.
- Gather partner feedback, prioritize high-leverage work, measure adoption, and iterate quickly.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of product management experience, including shipping products from zero to one through scale at a product-led company with a strong engineering culture.
- Deep, hands-on blockchain fluency, including EVM and Solana mechanics, smart contract design and upgrade patterns, gas economics, bridging models, and other onchain tradeoffs.
- Exceptional product judgment and analytical rigor.
- Ability to operate as a senior, autonomous product leader who defines problems, drives plans, and owns outcomes.
- Strong instincts around onchain security and risk, including audits, monitoring, and balancing delivery deadlines against material risk.
- Strong technical fluency in APIs, distributed systems, payments, and ledger design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with external partners and internal engineering teams.
- Proven ability to ship quickly, measure adoption, and iterate in a fast-moving environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with stablecoin issuance, onchain lending or collateralized credit, or tokenized asset products.
- Background at a protocol, Layer 1/Layer 2, wallet, custodian, or onchain infrastructure company.
- Familiarity with non-EVM ecosystems such as Solana, Tron, and Bitcoin Layer 2s, plus multi-chain operations at scale.
- Experience with payments, card issuing, or cross-border fintech products.
- Working knowledge of the regulatory landscape around digital assets and custody.
- Previous startup or hypergrowth experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Unlimited time off, with a required minimum of 10 days taken annually.
- Flexible working arrangements, including home and office work, plus a home workspace stipend for new employees.
- For US employees, Rain covers 95% of employee health, dental, and vision costs and 90% for dependents.
