Leads a frontline team of autonomous-vehicle operators, overseeing hiring, onboarding, performance, shift execution, incident response, and continuous improvement. Requires at least two years managing teams of 10 or more direct reports and availability for flexible shifts.

Responsibilities
People Management
- Run interviews and onboard new hires in partnership with the Learning & Development team.
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 20 operators.
- Provide feedback, guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
- Ensure operator training and competency remain current.
- Conduct performance reviews and help improve performance evaluation metrics.
Execution Management
- Manage start-of-shift and end-of-shift activities, including attendance tracking, software burns, data importing, and operator preparation.
- Coordinate with the planning team to ensure operators are trained and ready for new feature and capability rollouts.
- Understand weekly goals and allocation strategies, and provide periodic visibility into operator availability.
- Respond to operator and onsite incidents according to established procedures.
- Review weekly plan-versus-actual performance, identify causes of deviations, and define corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and throughput.
- Share best practices with supervisors in other locations and drive standardization.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing teams of at least 10 direct reports, including hiring, performance management, coaching, mentoring, or comparable experience.
- Understanding of U.S. labor, employment, and driving laws.
- Strong problem-solving, initiative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Comfort reviewing data and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
- Interest in robots and supporting AI and robotics development.
Nice-to-Haves
- At least 4 years of experience managing large teams of 15 or more direct reports.
- At least 2 years of experience in the autonomous-vehicle or delivery industry.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay range: $72,160–$97,420.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
