Responsibilities
- Sell the Kong Enterprise Platform to enterprise customers by developing and executing a pipeline generation strategy.
- Meet individual quotas and objectives.
- Own assigned territory account planning and forecasting.
- Manage a book of business by documenting buying criteria and processes, determining appropriate sales motions, maintaining pipeline accuracy, and working leads through closure.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams to align the sales experience with customer needs.
- Represent Kong professionally and support customers.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience selling enterprise software, with a strong enterprise network.
- Demonstrated success selling to assigned named accounts, particularly to senior-level executives and across multiple departments.
- Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, including identifying growth opportunities and developing plans to capitalize on them.
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
