Build and own scalable backend and customer-facing financial products from design through deployment, partnering across engineering and user-facing teams. The role requires 7+ years of professional software development experience and expertise with backend systems, databases, and Java, Kotlin, or Python.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers across the company to build new features and products end-to-end.
- Work alongside user-facing teams like Sales and Support to deeply understand customers' needs.
- Design and implement solutions to improve customers' banking experiences.
- Own problems end-to-end, from user experience and data models to scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics.
- Tune and polish features to a high degree of excellence.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications.
- Experience building and designing scalable backend systems.
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with backend programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, and Python.
- Familiarity with software engineering development cycles.
- Ability to hold yourself and the team to high standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation
- Expected salary range: $192,000–$240,000 CAD.
- Starting base pay depends on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.
- Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the total compensation package.
