Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for NetSuite functionality in Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, maintaining workflows, configurations, and data integrity to enhance efficiency and compliance with SOX and GAAP.
- Lead or participate in R2R projects, including implementations, migrations, process improvements, customizations, upgrades, and integrations with NetSuite financial modules.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes through timely reconciliations, reporting, general ledger accuracy, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
- Partner with finance, IT, and external vendors to provide NetSuite support, resolve issues, streamline processes, evaluate automation opportunities, and deliver user training.
- Monitor audit trails, support audits, generate required reports, and ensure system configurations align with audit and compliance standards.
- Provide project updates to leadership, communicate risks and dependencies, and propose solutions to improve NetSuite workflows and system performance.
- Leverage GenAI or agentic AI solutions to automate financial reconciliation, improve anomaly detection, and optimize R2R processes.
- Work hands-on with NetSuite and Oracle Fusion Cloud or SAP.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- More than 8 years of technology experience, including 6+ years of hands-on NetSuite expertise in R2R, accounting, or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in NetSuite customizations, SuiteScript, workflows, saved searches, and dashboards.
- Expertise in journal entries, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, multi-currency accounting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, prioritization, and process-improvement skills.
- Experience or familiarity with AI/ML-driven solutions for financial-system automation and data insights.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with Celigo or similar middleware and integration platforms.
- Knowledge of Workday, Coupa, Avalara, Salesforce, and their integrations with NetSuite.
- NetSuite Administrator or ERP Implementation certification.
