Senior Application Engineer, Zuora Billing
Leads the architecture, configuration, integration, implementation, and production support of Zuora Billing across finance and accounting processes. The role requires expertise in Zuora subscriptions, product and pricing configuration, enterprise integrations, reconciliations, and global billing operations.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architecture and complex product catalog design within Zuora Billing, including charge models, subscription lifecycle management, and scalable O2C/OTR solution design aligned with business and finance processes.
- Drive advanced Zuora configurations, including custom workflows, automation, integrations, error handling, mediation and data transformation pipelines, advanced billing rules, custom rating logic, multi-entity and multi-currency setups, custom reports and data sources, and billing performance optimization.
- Design, build, and support integrations between Zuora and enterprise systems, including Oracle ERP, tax engines, payment gateways, CRM, and data platforms.
- Implement API-based integrations, middleware flows, automated reconciliations, and audit control mechanisms.
- Own post-go-live production support, including P1/P2 incident management, root cause analysis, change and release management, operational stability, and support for financial close and compliance processes.
- Lead full-lifecycle implementations from requirements through hypercare.
- Provide governance and technical leadership, mentor team members, ensure documentation and knowledge transfer, and represent Zuora architecture in executive and cross-functional design forums.
- Develop and execute system conversions and implementations.
- Lead cross-functional requirements sessions to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements and functional specifications.
- Manage KLO operations and stakeholder support, including daily activities, financial close, and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Zuora Subscriptions, Billing, Product, and Pricing Management.
- Experience integrating Zuora with Salesforce, Oracle ERP, banks, payment gateways, and Avalara tax.
- Expertise with the Zuora platform, objects, custom events, and Zuora Workflows.
- Experience developing and executing system conversions and implementations.
- Understanding of customer aging, AR-to-GL reconciliation, and month-end processes.
- Knowledge of change management and Agile methodologies.
- B.Tech or MBA degree.
