Responsibilities
- Define the product vision and multi-year roadmap for Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Partner with People, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into functional requirements and configuration designs.
- Lead configuration of business processes, calculations, eligibility rules, pay components, and related workflows.
- Manage the full lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering through testing, deployment, maintenance, and adoption.
- Build Workday reports, dashboards, and hubs to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships, including ADP, and ensure reliable data flows and service-level compliance.
- Lead UAT, regression testing, troubleshooting, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Create documentation, user guides, and training to drive adoption of Workday features.
- Ensure configurations comply with global privacy requirements and internal security standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience configuring Workday Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking.
- Deep functional expertise in Workday Payroll, including general ledger, pay components, and taxes, as well as Absence and Time Tracking.
- Experience designing business processes, calculated fields, and eligibility rules.
- Experience leading tenant configuration, UAT, and regression testing.
- Advanced ability to build custom reports, dashboards, and hubs.
- Strong stakeholder communication, influence, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, managing backlogs, and delivering iteratively.
- Must work on U.S. soil and qualify as a U.S. person under applicable federal requirements.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Workday integrations such as PECI, PICOF, or Studio.
- Experience with Workday Extend.
- Workday certification in Payroll, Absence, or Time Tracking.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary for the San Francisco Bay Area: $148,000–$203,500 USD.
- Annual base salary for California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington: $132,000–$181,500 USD.
- Equity, bonus, health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, PTO, and parental leave may be available under applicable plans and policies.
