About the job
What You’ll Do
- Own enterprise systems through their full lifecycle: understand usage, identify shortcomings, track vendor roadmaps, and drive improvements from assessment to implementation.
- Engineer solutions that create leverage: build and evolve enterprise systems, integrations, automations, and internal tools to multiply effectiveness of 1,200+ technical experts. Incorporate AI (e.g., intelligent routing, automated triage, agent-assisted workflows) from initial design.
- Contribute to the Datadog codebase for TS-specific features (support tooling, in-app experiences), collaborating with Engineering teams.
- Use AI coding tools daily to ship faster, explore systems, and automate tasks; articulate impact and help teammates adopt them.
- Solve business problems by partnering with TS leaders to identify bottlenecks and engineer effective, adoptable solutions.
- Own what you ship: monitor, maintain, iterate on production systems, and diagnose issues proactively.
Who You Are
- 3-5 years of experience with enterprise platforms and production software: administered, extended, or integrated systems like Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira; built software real users depend on (web services, APIs, data pipelines, applications).
- Strong in Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript (polyglot a bonus).
- Ability to work across the stack: build backend services, wire up frontends, design APIs, set up CI/CD.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude); experience building AI-powered features with LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, or agent frameworks.
- Systems thinking: design reliable, maintainable, scalable solutions integrating multiple systems.
- Experience contributing to large shared codebases with established practices (code review, CI/CD, feature flags, observability).
- Background in technical support tooling or customer-facing business systems.
- Experience in high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
Benefits and Growth
- Best-in-breed onboarding, generous global benefits, intra-departmental mentor and buddy program.
- New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP).
