Implementation Manager
Leads customer implementations of the Benchling platform, from requirements analysis and solution design through configuration, testing, training, and go-live. Requires a relevant life sciences degree, at least two years in a laboratory or research setting, strong stakeholder communication, and project management capability.

Responsibilities
- Manage initial rollouts for new customers and expansion projects for existing customers.
- Own implementation success from kickoff through go-live, including project planning, delivery, budget, quality, and timelines.
- Build and execute detailed project plans and coordinate project deliverables across teams.
- Understand customers’ scientific workflows and determine how the Benchling platform can meet their business needs.
- Lead requirements and solution-design workshops.
- Perform data modeling and application configuration.
- Develop test plans and guide user acceptance testing.
- Train and onboard users.
- Advise customers on implementation and Benchling best practices.
- Document customer pain points and advocate internally for product improvements.
- Develop and optimize enterprise training programs, including written and video materials.
- Identify and support post-go-live account expansion opportunities with Sales.
Requirements
- Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Biological Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory or research setting.
- Ability to understand complex scientific concepts and empathize with scientists.
- Strong communication skills with scientists, IT project leads, and executives.
- Self-starter who can succeed in a startup environment.
- Curious, creative, tenacious, and collaborative.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on customer and project needs.
Nice to Have
- Experience using Benchling, particularly as a Benchling administrator.
- Software implementation experience, preferably with SaaS software.
- Advanced degree.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
- Annual salary range: $92,978–$136,000.
- Flexible hybrid arrangement with on-site work expected 3 days per week.
