About the job
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end sales compensation administration for a large payee portfolio, including participant setup, plan distribution, calculation, payment readiness, payroll submission, accuracy, timeliness, and SOX compliance.
- Lead payroll submissions for one or more geographies, including zero-pay confirmations, audit checkpoints, and complete evidence.
- Detect payout anomalies, apply conservative holds to prevent overpayment, and operationalize Exception Committee decisions.
- Validate data across Xactly, SFDC, HRIS, Anaplan, and other source-of-truth systems; investigate crediting errors, quota misalignments, and payout exceptions.
- Deliver actionable recommendations to leadership and use AI-powered anomaly detection, predictive payment-risk scoring, agentic validation workflows, and LLM-based solutions to improve reconciliation and decision quality.
- Independently lead moderately complex projects, define ownership, balance priorities, and establish dashboards, check-ins, trackers, and other inspection mechanisms.
- Influence partners across Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Payroll, HR, Legal, Accounting, and Finance by framing decisions around field experience, risk, and audit compliance.
- Advance the automation roadmap for commission operations, including intelligent anomaly detection, AI-assisted exception triage, automated evidence generation, and agentic data validation.
- Create SOPs, operating rhythms, templates, playbooks, evidence packs, and exception trackers; mentor analysts and offshore resources.
Requirements
- 10+ years of end-to-end sales compensation administration and commissions system operations, including payroll submissions, SOX controls, exception modeling/recalculations, and stakeholder deliverables.
- Advanced proficiency with Xactly administration, configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Advanced Excel and Google Workspace skills for complex modeling, analysis, and insights.
- Strong data validation and anomaly-detection skills across SFDC, HRIS, Anaplan, and related systems.
- Program management experience across payroll, compliance, and exception workflows, including audit evidence packs, escalation paths, and continuous audit readiness.
- Understanding of SaaS go-to-market compensation models, including quotas, OTI, accelerators, overlays, SPIFFs, and MBOs.
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, balance speed with rigor, and deliver control-minded execution with minimal oversight.
- Ability to prompt and evaluate LLMs and assess where AI provides leverage versus where human judgment is required.
- Experience deploying AI or automation solutions through vendor tooling, custom workflows, or agentic systems.
- Availability for a consistent 3–4 hour overlap with U.S. Pacific Time during the workday.
