Investment Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert across at least three of Trading, Transfers, Account Lifecycle, and Investment Experience, while developing expertise in the fourth.
• Act as a second approver for work performed by Associates and Specialists, identifying issues before they affect member accounts.
• Train and mentor at least three teammates across functions and help establish competency-building and assessment processes.
• Drive end-to-end automation and process improvements.
• Connect daily operations to firm goals and identify how investment operations should evolve to support them.
• Serve as a licensed point of contact for members and an escalation resource for the Investment Operations team.
• Collaborate with the broader investments team, including investment management and portfolio modeling.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in investment operations, brokerage operations, or a comparable financial services role.
• Independent experience running most or all of the core investment operations functions.
• Experience training and mentoring colleagues and developing repeatable processes or automation improvements.
• Deep familiarity with custodial or clearing platforms and core brokerage workflows.
• Strong judgment regarding when to approve, escalate, or hold operational work.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver improvements independently with minimal oversight.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including confidence working directly with members and firm leadership.
• Series 24 license.

Nice to Have

• FinTech, registered investment adviser, or broker-dealer experience.
• Interest in eventually managing a team while initially serving as an individual contributor.
