Incentive Compensation Systems Manager
Own and improve incentive compensation systems by replacing manual commission processes with scalable automation, integrations, and AI-enabled workflows. Responsibilities
- Map incentive compensation workflows across plan administration, calculation, approvals, and payout; identify and prioritize manual, repetitive, or error-prone steps.
- Design and build automated workflows, integrations, and tooling for data pulls, reconciliations, approval routing, and exception handling.
- Own and configure Xactly instances, including Incent and Connect, calculation rules, plan logic, and workflows.
- Build AI- and LLM-enabled automation for exception detection, data reconciliation, plan document review, and common compensation questions.
- Integrate incentive compensation systems across CRM, HRIS, data warehouses, finance, people operations, revenue operations, and IT/data teams.
- Establish documentation, standard operating procedures, governance, and controls for systematized processes.
- Create a continuous-improvement cadence to identify and eliminate manual work.
- Translate incentive compensation needs into system requirements and communicate system or data constraints as practical process recommendations.
- Support urgent payout-cycle requests while systematizing recurring fixes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in incentive compensation, sales operations, revenue operations, or related systems/process improvement.
- Experience in a fast-paced technology or SaaS business is preferred.
- Demonstrated success systematizing inefficient processes and building durable solutions.
- Hands-on SQL experience and comfort querying and reconciling data across systems.
- Experience building automated workflows with scripting, workflow/RPA platforms, or incentive compensation management systems.
- Familiarity with CRM, HRIS, data warehouse, and compensation management systems.
- Strong cross-functional communication and systems requirements skills.
- Understanding of quotas, accelerators, SPIFFs, and payout timing.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS, cloud, or open-source company, especially a public company or IPO-readiness environment.
- Experience collaborating across globally distributed, remote-first teams.
- Experience documenting datasets and workflows for Model Context Protocol (MCP) server ingestion or building AI agents for incentive compensation automation.
Compensation and Benefits
- United States base compensation: $144,000–$173,000.
- Actual compensation varies based on level, experience, and skillset.
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
