Owns messaging and positioning for Lovable’s self-serve growth journey, shaping communications from signup through activation and expansion. Responsibilities
- Own messaging and positioning strategy for the self-serve journey, from signup through activation and expansion.
- Partner with the Growth PM to translate roadmap and experimentation priorities into strong, on-brand messaging.
- Collaborate with the Lifecycle team on email, in-app, and push-notification content and messaging.
- Develop messaging guidance for self-serve segments including solo founders, indie hackers, and small teams.
- Write and refine copy for onboarding flows, activation nudges, upgrade prompts, and in-app messaging.
- Review experiment and campaign messaging to identify why it worked or did not from a messaging and positioning perspective.
- Build a shared messaging toolkit covering voice, tone, positioning by segment, and proof points.
- Represent the messaging and positioning perspective in growth planning.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product marketing, lifecycle marketing, or content/messaging roles.
- Experience at a high-tech company.
- Direct experience writing messaging and positioning for a product-led growth or self-serve product across signup, paid conversion, and expansion.
- Track record of producing customer-facing content, campaigns, or messaging with measurable outcomes.
- Experience partnering with product, growth, or lifecycle teams without owning the underlying roadmap or systems.
- Strong writing and positioning skills.
- Ability to build cross-functional trust and alignment without formal authority.
- Curiosity about data and results.
- Bias toward shipping and iterating quickly.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with lifecycle or CRM tools such as Braze, Iterable, or Customer.io.
- Familiarity with growth metrics and experimentation frameworks, including PQLs, activation rate, and feature adoption.
- Experience working with developer, startup, or solo-builder audiences.
- Experience building messaging frameworks or toolkits used across multiple teams.
