Head of EMEA Financial Services GTM

Leads Databricks’ EMEA Financial Services go-to-market strategy across Banking/Payments, Capital Markets, and Insurance. Responsibilities

  • Own the Financial Services go-to-market strategy, including growth execution plans, C-level customer relationships, new customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Develop account-, segment-, and region-level go-to-market plans with sales and pre-sales teams.
  • Build strategic C-level relationships with ISV and CSI partners.
  • Identify operational gaps, quantify business opportunities using data, and execute improvement plans.
  • Develop sub-vertical sales plays with Sales Programs teams for scalable, geographically tailored EMEA motions.
  • Serve as an industry thought leader through white papers, conference speaking, and C-suite engagement.
  • Advise internal product, sales, pre-sales, marketing, and partner stakeholders.
  • Work with Sales Enablement to improve verticalized sales and pre-sales productivity.
  • Partner with marketing on Financial Services content, collateral, blogs, and demand generation.
  • Deliver keynote presentations at industry events and plan and execute Financial Services events.
  • Ensure appropriate security messaging and positioning for Financial Services.
  • Travel for conferences, customer meetings, and team meetings.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working as an executive (CxO) in Banking.
  • Deep knowledge of global regulations in Banking/Payments, Capital Markets, and Insurance, particularly European regulations.
  • Experience driving technical and business change at large financial services institutions.
  • Strong understanding of how large financial services institutions make decisions.
  • Strong customer-facing presence with C-suite, IT, and business leaders, with the ability to cultivate executive relationships and open doors for field teams.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to build vertical solutions on existing technology platforms that generate customer revenue and value.
  • Experience working with sales and technical pre-sales teams and building go-to-market sales kits.
  • Strong knowledge of the banking and payments technology landscape.
  • Hands-on experience program-managing vertical solutions, including prioritizing business requirements, coordinating technical timelines, developing marketing assets, planning events, and tracking partner milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to enable and coach Financial Services sales teams on technology positioning.
