Responsibilities
- Oversee and operate robotic systems in pilot environments to meet operational goals.
- Coordinate with customer engineering teams and collect feedback on solution performance and requirements.
- Collaborate with Autonomy, Controls, and Integration teams to execute on-site test plans and ensure correct field behavior.
- Conduct first-level software triage, diagnose operational issues, and report findings to engineering teams.
- Integrate robotic solutions with customer systems.
- Monitor and manage robot task success rates and throughput.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on robotic hardware and electromechanical systems.
- Repair or replace electrical and mechanical components as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with complex robotic or electromechanical systems.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with ROS2 and Linux-based development and debugging environments.
- Working knowledge of robotics networking and communication protocols, including CANOpen, EtherCAT, and UART.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and ensure successful robotic task completion.
- Comfort using mechanical and electrical tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, crimpers, and multimeters.
- Ability to travel 40–50% of the time to customer facilities.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience deploying and supporting robotic systems in field or production environments.
- Familiarity with safety-critical or real-time software systems.
