Responsibilities

  • Oversee and operate robotic systems in pilot environments to meet operational goals.
  • Coordinate with customer engineering teams and collect feedback on solution performance and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Autonomy, Controls, and Integration teams to execute on-site test plans and ensure correct field behavior.
  • Conduct first-level software triage, diagnose operational issues, and report findings to engineering teams.
  • Integrate robotic solutions with customer systems.
  • Monitor and manage robot task success rates and throughput.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on robotic hardware and electromechanical systems.
  • Repair or replace electrical and mechanical components as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with complex robotic or electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with ROS2 and Linux-based development and debugging environments.
  • Working knowledge of robotics networking and communication protocols, including CANOpen, EtherCAT, and UART.
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and ensure successful robotic task completion.
  • Comfort using mechanical and electrical tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, crimpers, and multimeters.
  • Ability to travel 40–50% of the time to customer facilities.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience deploying and supporting robotic systems in field or production environments.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical or real-time software systems.
