Head of Talent Acquisition
Build and lead Distyl's Talent Acquisition function to scale headcount with high-quality AI-native hires during rapid growth. Own strategy, team, processes, ATS, metrics, and international expansion while partnering on headcount planning and defining emerging AI roles.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators, owning their performance, development, and growth.
- Build the talent attraction engine, including sourcing strategy, employer brand, and candidate experience to compete for top AI-native talent.
- Ensure fairness and equity in the recruiting process to welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
- Own the recruiting stack (Ashby ATS and sourcing tools), evaluate and adopt AI-native recruiting tools.
- Strengthen interview rigor with structured processes, scorecards, and calibration for consistent, predictive feedback.
- Own team outcomes by setting and reporting on metrics such as time to fill, funnel conversion, and quality of hire; build trustworthy dashboards.
- Partner on headcount strategy with the Head of People and business leaders to translate growth plans into hiring capacity, sequencing, and budget.
- Personally run specialized searches for senior, executive, and highly specialized roles.
- Lead international and new-market hiring, building playbooks for sourcing, market-specific practices, and compliant hiring.
- Scope roles that don't exist yet by partnering with leadership to define new roles and competencies as AI reshapes the market.
- Scale repeatable systems by building hiring playbooks by function.
- Develop the team's craft through training on process, tools, and evaluation standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years building talent programs and leading recruiting teams, ideally at fast-growing companies that outgrew their processes.
- Experience building talent functions from the ground up, defining what "good" looks like.
- AI fluency: use AI tools in your own workflow and can apply this to sourcing, evaluating, and attracting AI-native candidates.
- Hands-on experience owning an ATS and personally evaluating new sourcing and AI tools.
- Comfortable personally leading executive or highly specialized hiring, in addition to high-volume roles.
- Experience hiring in multiple countries, opening new markets, and adapting to geography-specific hiring practices, comp, and compliance.
- Ability to track emerging roles and titles in the AI industry and translate fuzzy needs into job descriptions and leveling frameworks.
- Strong coaching skills to develop a growing team with patience and investment in development.

- Base salary range: $180,000–$220,000, depending on experience and level.
