Product Manager, Developer Ecosystem
Lead Reddit’s strategy for expanding its developer ecosystem into a broader AI-assisted builder ecosystem. The role owns developer portal, creation tooling, marketplace, app quality, platform capabilities, adoption, and ecosystem growth in close partnership with Engineering and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Define Reddit’s Developer Ecosystem product strategy, including the transition from code-first developers to a broader ecosystem of AI-assisted creators.
- Own the roadmap for developers.reddit.com, including onboarding, documentation, app management, analytics, review status, feature access, education, examples, templates, and AI-assisted creation entry points.
- Lead strategy for AI-assisted app creation, prompt-to-app workflows, no-code and low-code experiences, reusable templates, generated scaffolds, and creator enablement systems.
- Develop an App Marketplace strategy for discovering high-quality apps, games, agents, tools, and community experiences.
- Improve app review and ecosystem operations with tooling, automation, policy checks, quality signals, LLM-powered review, and reviewer-efficiency workflows.
- Partner with Engineering on platform capabilities and performance improvements, including webhooks, webviews, APIs, SDKs, tooling, and observability.
- Drive successful, retentive, and popular apps and games through best practices, templates, incentives, and clearer paths from idea to launch and growth.
- Identify and support new creator and developer categories.
- Partner with internal teams to launch new functionality through the developer ecosystem.
- Define feature-adoption programs and measurement systems covering developer and creator activity, satisfaction, launches, retention, and related metrics.
- Establish frameworks for platform primitives, templates, builder funding, partnerships, app promotion, and low-quality or low-trust ecosystem behavior.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Community, Data, Safety, Legal, Policy, Support, Business Development, and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Experience leading high-ambiguity platform, developer ecosystem, creator ecosystem, marketplace, gaming, AI tooling, or developer-experience products.
- Strong product judgment for creation platforms serving advanced developers, new creators, communities, and business stakeholders.
- Comfort with code, APIs, developer tools, technical platform tradeoffs, and engineering discussions.
- Ability to reason across developers, creators, users, moderators, communities, internal teams, partners, and business priorities.
- Experience with developer or creator onboarding, documentation, portals, SDKs, APIs, marketplaces, app review, app distribution, AI creation tools, or app-building workflows.
- Strong analytical judgment and experience defining ecosystem, productivity, quality, retention, distribution, or business-impact metrics.
- Ability to partner deeply with Engineering on platform capabilities, performance, reliability, primitives, observability, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Excellent written communication and decision frameworks for ambiguous investments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $217,000–$303,900 annually.
- Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and, depending on the position offered, potentially commission.
