The Sales Engineer guides customers through technical evaluations, demonstrations, implementations, and adoption while partnering with sales and cross-functional teams. The role requires at least three years of relevant customer-facing technical experience, programming knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to guide customers from their first technical interaction through long-term adoption.
- Provide technical expertise during customer demos, trials, implementations, and support tickets.
- Develop best practices, educational offerings, and content about error and performance management, open source, and Sentry products, including how-to articles and videos.
- Conduct workshop-level customer interactions to improve usage maturity and broaden adoption.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Product to represent the customer voice and drive product improvements.
- Attend conferences occasionally and engage with prospects at the company booth.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, or Software Developer, with experience leading projects, presenting solutions, and/or working with customers.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Swift/Cocoa, Python, Go, .NET, Ruby, Node.js, or PHP.
- Understanding of sales processes in a high-transaction sales environment.
- Experience selling or implementing pure SaaS solutions; infrastructure tools experience is a plus.
- Proven success driving revenue through technical interactions with prospects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and team growth.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance monitoring, OpenTelemetry, and code instrumentation.
- Experience developing mobile apps using native iOS, Android, or multi-platform technologies such as React Native and Flutter.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: €91,000–€124,000, plus an 80/20 variable compensation structure.
- Eligibility for applicable employee benefit plans, including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage.
