Responsibilities
- Lead and grow high-performing platform engineering teams delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure and operational excellence.
- Set technical direction and drive multi-quarter initiatives across infrastructure reliability, security, scalability, and developer experience.
- Partner with product engineering, security, and engineering leadership to identify organizational needs and translate ambiguous infrastructure challenges into roadmap priorities.
- Design and evolve internal platforms, paved roads, and abstractions that help product teams ship independently, securely, and efficiently.
- Guide the evolution of cloud and data infrastructure, including AWS services, MongoDB performance, and event-driven architecture.
- Establish engineering culture, operational standards, and ownership practices for healthy systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years managing platform or infrastructure teams at high-growth technology companies.
- Experience managing multiple teams or charters.
- Strong decision-making skills, balancing ambiguity, data, speed, and quality.
- Track record of maintaining and scaling shared infrastructure with measurable results.
- Experience developing or driving engineering-wide initiatives, such as recruiting processes or career frameworks.
- Experience managing complex, long-term projects involving multiple teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Effective communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive technical direction without direct authority.
- Curiosity and sound judgment in using AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
