Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of new features and services, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define technical strategy and prototype software components.
- Directly oversee and coordinate complex technical initiatives involving more than 20 engineers across multiple workstreams.
- Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement through robust testing, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Partner with Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering teams to scope development and deployment work.
- Design, build, and maintain platforms that scale on cloud infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software development experience in Java, preferably with significant experience in Hibernate and Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of design patterns, scalability patterns, security engineering, and object-oriented principles.
- 4+ years of experience automating and deploying large-scale production services in AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure technologies including caching, stream processing, and resilient architectures.
- Experience with relational databases, ideally MySQL, PostgreSQL, or GraphDB.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across functions and distributed teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with server-side caching, asynchronous processing, and multithreading.
- Experience with security best practices and threat modeling.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols and technologies, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM.
Education
- B.E. in Computer Science or equivalent.
