Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve systems powering Financial Integrity, ensuring financial transactions are accurate, reliable, secure, compliant, and auditable.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across design, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production operations.
- Define the team’s long-term technical vision and roadmap with product, engineering, operations, risk, and compliance leaders.
- Design and build scalable distributed systems supporting high transaction volumes, automated controls, and failure recovery.
- Improve correctness, observability, security, operational excellence, and regulatory readiness.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from technical exploration through delivery, managing risks and ambiguity.
- Develop automation that improves operational efficiency and reduces manual intervention.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions through architecture reviews, design guidance, and engineering practices.
- Foster ownership, high standards, and measurable customer and business impact.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant responsibility for architecture and complex cross-team initiatives.
- Deep hands-on experience building backend platforms, distributed systems, and high-throughput data or transaction-processing pipelines.
- Experience designing systems where correctness, reliability, security, auditability, and regulatory compliance are critical.
- Proven ability to design scalable systems, make architectural trade-offs, and establish long-term technical direction.
- Ability to lead through influence, raise engineering standards, guide design and code reviews, and mentor engineers without direct management responsibility.
- Track record of translating technical vision into milestones, managing risks and dependencies, and delivering complex initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, finance, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders across regions and time zones.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
