Responsibilities
- Build infrastructure and products for the Databricks platform at scale.
- Design and operate distributed systems, large-scale service architectures, monitoring, workflow orchestration, and developer experience platforms.
- Deliver reliable, high-performance services and client libraries for storing and accessing large amounts of data on cloud storage backends such as AWS S3 and Azure Blob Storage.
- Build reliable, scalable services using technologies such as Scala and Kubernetes.
- Develop data pipelines using Spark and Databricks.
- Build pricing infrastructure that serves millions of cluster-hours per day.
- Develop product features that help customers view and control platform usage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with service-oriented architectures.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
