Senior backend engineer responsible for designing, delivering, and operating high-performance Java services in a provisioning and licensing platform. The role requires 7+ years of Java experience, strong Spring expertise, Kubernetes proficiency, and ownership of scalable cloud and self-managed systems.

Responsibilities
- Own significant portions of the software development lifecycle, from architecture through delivery and production ownership.
- Contribute components, tooling, and integration patterns for the Self-Managed Platform Solution, including Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and on-premise environments.
- Help shape technical vision and strategy while balancing cloud and self-managed deployment models.
- Build for service scalability, reliability, and defined latency SLAs.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams and business stakeholders on broad-impact technical projects.
- Maintain high software quality standards and document processes, concepts, and technical insights.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience building high-performance Java applications.
- Strong practical experience with Spring frameworks.
- Expert familiarity with containerization, including Docker, and experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
- Experience with REST APIs and/or distributed microservice architectures.
- Experience writing and setting up comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Passion for clean, understandable code.
Nice to Have
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with tools such as Terraform.
- Go experience for automation and tooling.
- Experience with on-premise or self-managed enterprise solutions, including deployment models and packaging such as Helm.
- Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Datadog.
