Senior Applied Value Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with strategic global accounts and translate customer requirements into enterprise architectures.
• Architect, prototype, and build tailored AI solutions for complex operational challenges on the Celonis platform.
• Lead end-to-end Proof-of-Value projects, delivering secure and scalable LLM and agent systems with advanced retrieval-augmented generation, tools, and guardrails.
• Integrate solutions with enterprise data, identity, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Advise strategic accounts through implementation, adoption, value realization, and operational transformation.
• Develop industry-specific, cross-system AI solutions and codify reusable methodologies and scalable assets.
• Mentor junior peers and present solution value to C-suite executives and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in executive-facing presales or value engineering, including technical ownership of complex sales and AI transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience executing Proof-of-Value projects, ROI/TCO modeling, visionary solution demonstrations, and driving projects through achieved business value.
• Deep knowledge of operational workflows and industry domains such as supply chain or finance.
• Python proficiency, modular API design, reusable library development, advanced SQL, and scalable data integration.
• Experience with ML/AI frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and Hugging Face.
• Strong presentation, workshop facilitation, whiteboarding, and executive communication skills.
• Native-level or near-native German proficiency, written and spoken.
• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
