IT Operations Engineer
Own the operational systems, asset data, vendors, SaaS administration, and compliance processes that support a rapidly scaling IT function. The role requires 6–8+ years of IT experience, deep MDM and Okta expertise, and familiarity with ITAM, audits, and SaaS governance.

Responsibilities
- Own and improve MDM for Clay’s Mac fleet in Iru, including configuration profiles, zero-touch enrollment, custom scripts, remediation, and management of a smaller Windows footprint.
- Own the CMDB, asset data, and IT asset management vendor relationship, including hardware procurement, shipments, deployments, collection, and inventory reconciliation.
- Manage IT vendor contracts, renewals, license true-ups, and SaaS and hardware agreements.
- Help maintain IT controls and evidence for SOC 2 and ISO 27001, including offboarding, access reviews, and evidence collection.
- Administer and govern Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other core SaaS tools, including provisioning, settings, group management, and access hygiene.
- Maintain runbooks, configuration records, process documentation, and other operational records.
- Partner with the Head of IT on change management, approvals, deployments, and IT projects; take escalations from the Support team for owned systems.
Requirements
- 6–8+ years of IT experience, including significant experience in senior operations, systems, or infrastructure roles.
- Experience operating and maintaining IT systems at scale.
- Deep hands-on MDM experience with Iru, Jamf Pro, or a similar cloud MDM, including configuration profiles, zero-touch enrollment, and scripting.
- Bash scripting for macOS management and familiarity with Windows MDM.
- Strong Okta administration experience, including application integrations, groups, access management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 in an IT context, including access reviews, offboarding, and evidence collection.
- Experience owning ITAM or a CMDB, asset tracking, inventory reconciliation, and cross-system data accuracy.
- Vendor management experience covering contracts, renewals, license management, and vendor accountability.
- Broad SaaS administration experience across Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and modern workplace tools.
- Strong documentation skills and clear communication.
- AI-forward approach to improving efficiency and handling operational volume.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Iru or launching an MDM from scratch.
- Jamf certification.
- ITIL Foundation or security and compliance certification.
- Experience with HITRUST or NIST 800-171.
- Okta Workflows or similar low-code automation experience.
- Exposure to automation tooling and AI-assisted workflows.
- Experience building IT processes at a fast-scaling startup.
