Partners with engineering leaders to design hiring strategies, source and close top software/ML engineering talent using AI tools and data insights. Leads interviews, scales recruiting processes, and mentors team in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to identify and hire software and ML engineers
- Partner with engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand hiring needs, team design, and long-term talent strategy
- Leverage AI and agentic coding tools to drive recruiting workflow automation and increase recruiting productivity
- Lead structured, high-quality interview processes that assess technical excellence, problem-solving ability, and alignment with Applied's values
- Improve and scale recruiting systems, tools, and processes to support efficiency and growth
- Provide leadership with data-driven insights on funnel health, pass-through rates, and time-to-fill to help problem-solve bottlenecks and support hiring velocity
- Mentor and enable other recruiters, raising the bar for technical recruiting across the team
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and proliferate a compelling talent brand externally
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with a strong track record hiring software engineers, ML engineers, or other highly specialized technical talent
- Strong business partnership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders using data and insights
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex searches in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate autonomously
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting for autonomy, robotics, defense, embedded systems, or Physical AI
- Familiarity with AI/ML talent markets and competitive dynamics for niche engineering profiles
- Experience hiring software engineers in a startup or hypergrowth environment
Compensation
- Base salary range: $154,000 - $209,000 USD annually
- Equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units
