Senior Business Systems Analyst
Supports Finance IT systems by translating accounting, reporting, and FP&A needs into Workday and custom application solutions. The role requires 3+ years of finance systems analysis experience, strong accounting knowledge, ERP integrations, testing, SQL, Python, and cross-functional stakeholder leadership.

Responsibilities
- Support finance systems for period-close activities.
- Automate accounting processes using emerging technology.
- Contribute to core accounting, external reporting, transformation projects, operational changes, and FP&A business requests.
- Identify accounting and finance process gaps and recommend improvements.
- Use AI tools to create wireframes, functional specifications, use cases, test automations, and other innovations.
- Partner with business application owners to improve business automation and data-management processes.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for Workday Finance and promote industry best practices.
- Provide input into the IT roadmap, including Workday feature rollouts, new modules, and major releases.
- Lead discussions and investigations regarding Workday features and functionality.
- Design and implement enterprise IT projects in the Workday ecosystem and custom application environment.
- Gather requirements from business users and develop design and solution documents.
- Liaise between business stakeholders and IT.
- Manage communications and platform change processes.
- Develop functional and system design specifications.
- Organize Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assist with test scripts and coordinate post-sprint, UAT, and regression testing.
- Define testing strategies, identify risks, and lead quality assurance.
- Track and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Create training materials and release notes for Finance users.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of direct experience in IT Finance implementations or operations as a Business Systems Analyst.
- 3+ years of experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst supporting Finance, including core accounting, external reporting, or FP&A.
- Experience with the Workday Finance module and other ERP systems.
- Experience building custom applications.
- Strong experience with Claude, Gemini, and Copilot.
- Experience integrating custom or third-party applications with Workday or other ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and principles.
- Working knowledge of databases, SQL queries, and Python scripts.
- Experience with SDLC.
- Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
- Commitment to customer service and quality.
- Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels, including executives.
- Leadership and collaboration skills for cross-functional stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
