Team Lead, Readiness & Response
Leads mission-readiness and fleet-response operations for an autonomous vehicle fleet, managing people leaders, contingent staff, vendors, and critical incident escalations. The role requires 8+ years of operations experience, strong safety and process-improvement expertise, and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Fleet Operations leadership to optimize fleet utilization and address market needs.
- Oversee operational strategy and execution for vehicle preparation, mission readiness, and fleet incident response.
- Manage and mentor Shift Leads and contingent associates, including onboarding, training, performance management, and operational coaching.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical field incidents and service interruptions, making high-level decisions on complex vehicle or rider issues.
- Manage third-party vehicle recovery, roadside assistance, and facility vendors; hold partners accountable to safety, response-time, service-quality, and SLA requirements.
- Identify depot and field-response bottlenecks and implement process improvements to reduce vehicle downtime.
- Oversee OSHA and other health and safety compliance, vehicle documentation, and accurate Up/Down status reporting.
- Analyze and report site KPIs covering fleet health, team efficiency, and vendor performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in an operations-based environment.
- Experience managing and developing people leaders at the Shift Lead or Supervisor level.
- Extensive experience managing contractor or contingent workforces.
- Experience managing third-party service providers and enforcing SLAs.
- Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills in fast-paced or ambiguous situations.
- Technical aptitude sufficient to understand complex hardware and software systems and communicate with engineering stakeholders.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar process-improvement methodologies.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
- Clean driving record.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations, finance, or a related field.
- Experience with autonomous vehicles or another safety-critical industry.
- Experience in a fast-paced service environment.
- Familiarity with fleet-management software.
