Responsibilities
- Support sourcing strategies for Cloud Data Center Infrastructure equipment categories.
- Assist with the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including market analysis, strategy development, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
- Partner with Data Center Engineering, Construction, and Operations stakeholders to deliver value, mitigate risk, and manage supplier relationships.
- Support contract negotiations and supplier relationship management to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery.
- Identify and implement procurement process improvements that increase efficiency and visibility.
- Analyze product and price data; compare vendor terms and quotes with historical data to develop recommendations.
- Manage formal and informal source selection and screening processes.
- Conduct concurrent RFI, RFQ, and RFP bid events; prepare bid summaries and commercial award recommendations.
- Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
- Communicate project progress and potential challenges to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
- Foundational understanding of category strategy development and cost savings methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
- Negotiation experience and the ability to interact and deal effectively.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in a high-growth technology or startup environment.
- Exposure to data center greyspace or whitespace categories, particularly Tier 2 or Tier 3 providers.
- Industry certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC.
- Pursuit of an MBA.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual compensation of $110,000–$135,000 plus bonus.
