Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Colocations

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing strategies for Cloud Data Center Infrastructure equipment categories.
• Assist with the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including market analysis, strategy development, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
• Partner with Data Center Engineering, Construction, and Operations stakeholders to deliver value, mitigate risk, and manage supplier relationships.
• Support contract negotiations and supplier relationship management to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery.
• Identify and implement procurement process improvements that increase efficiency and visibility.
• Analyze product and pricing data; compare vendor terms and quotes with historical data to develop recommendations.
• Manage formal and informal source selection and screening processes.
• Conduct concurrent RFI, RFQ, and RFP bid events; prepare bid summaries and commercial award recommendations.
• Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
• Communicate project progress and potential challenges to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
• Foundational understanding of category strategy development and cost-savings methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Negotiation experience and the ability to deal effectively.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in a high-growth technology or startup environment.
• Exposure to data center colocation providers, including contracts, billing/invoicing, and provider relationship management.
• Industry certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC.
• MBA or pursuit of an MBA.

• $110,000–$135,000 annual compensation plus bonus.
