Leads and grows Harvey’s Bengaluru Core Infrastructure team, owning platform strategy, reliability, multi-cloud scale, and developer velocity. The role requires 10+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience and 4+ years of engineering management experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, and develop a high-agency infrastructure team in Bengaluru.
- Own delivery for core infrastructure investments spanning cloud infrastructure, observability, container orchestration, reliability, and platform foundations.
- Partner with Product Engineering, Security, and adjacent platform teams to accelerate product delivery.
- Guide technical strategy across multi-cloud infrastructure, including Azure and Google Cloud systems, Kubernetes orchestration, networking, container management, and infrastructure as code.
- Drive operational excellence through observability, incident response, disaster recovery, runbooks, alerting, and recovery tooling.
- Improve system design quality, harden critical paths, and resolve reliability bottlenecks.
- Partner with AI and product teams on agent workflows, model infrastructure, and large-scale document processing systems.
- Contribute as a hands-on technical leader in architecture reviews, incident leadership, prioritization, and high-stakes cross-functional programs.
Representative Problems
- Harden the agent platform with resource isolation, authenticated sandbox access, and resilient execution.
- Improve database resilience and recovery.
- Strengthen alerting, failover strategy, autoscaling, and runbooks.
- Scale vector and retrieval infrastructure for document-heavy workflows and enterprise search.
- Build a multi-region, enterprise-grade platform supporting data residency, security, and uptime requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of engineering management experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on infrastructure or platform engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, observability, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience designing and scaling reliable distributed systems, including performance, fault tolerance, and operational tradeoffs.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and translating ambiguous platform needs into execution plans and measurable outcomes.
- Strong people leadership, including hiring, coaching, accountability, and team culture development.
- Clear communication and calm execution during incidents, escalations, and customer-impacting situations.
- Systems mindset, bias for simplicity, and ability to raise standards while maintaining execution speed.
- Must be authorized to work in India; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to Have
- AI/ML infrastructure, high-throughput inference systems, or model platform reliability experience.
- Experience operating multi-tenant, security-sensitive platforms for enterprise or regulated customers.
- Familiarity with Azure at scale; Google Cloud or AWS experience also transfers well.
- Experience supporting global, follow-the-sun operations or building teams across regions.
