Responsibilities
- Own and deliver robust, high-scale routing experiences for data platforms and pipelines.
- Champion team growth and success through mentorship and individual development.
- Architect and operate highly available distributed systems in cloud environments.
- Guide technical decisions and communicate trade-offs among cost, performance, and reliability.
- Advocate for agile processes, continuous integration, and robust automation.
- Translate complex technical strategies into actionable plans for product managers, architects, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- 14+ years of engineering experience, including a proven track record of managing software teams for 5+ years.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple team workstreams.
- Commitment to an AI-centric engineering mindset and mentoring teams on AI-enabled development platforms.
- Technical depth in distributed systems, high-scale ingestion, and cloud-native architecture.
- Hands-on experience with high-scale messaging or streaming systems and processing engines handling several thousand events per second.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and operational excellence skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience identifying, prototyping, and deploying GenAI or LLM solutions for engineering or data-processing challenges.
- Expert programming experience in Go or similar object-oriented languages.
- Proficiency with datastores, distributed caching, and container technologies.
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and observability tools.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies.
- Experience managing and operating AWS infrastructure.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
