Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop an in-office team of Credit Risk Operations Associates.
- Execute commercial credit underwriting frameworks for venture-backed startups and established entities.
- Guide identification of commercial credit risk and development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive operational delivery and process improvement while balancing credit loss and customer experience.
- Build team culture and support employee growth and engagement.
- Set goals, provide performance feedback, and use metrics to guide team performance.
- Manage operational KPIs, capacity, and scheduling.
- Resolve roadblocks and serve as an escalation point for complex credit underwriting reviews.
- Partner with globally distributed internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, risk modeling, and cash flow forecasting.
- 2+ years of direct people management experience.
- Ability to translate business and financial data into credit-risk narratives and mitigation strategies.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and operational skills.
- Experience launching processes and delivering high-quality user-facing services.
- Passion for process improvement and innovation.
Nice-to-haves
- Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in payments, e-commerce, or fintech credit-risk mitigation.
- Experience building and scaling new teams.
