About the role

What You'll Do

Marketing Academy

  • Drive enrollment. Develop and execute promotional campaigns that reach developers where they are, within LangChain docs, on social, through the newsletter, and via community touchpoints, to consistently drive top-of-funnel course enrollment.
  • Build and scale certification programs. Own the development and launch of LangChain Academy certification offerings, from program design and credentialing mechanics to marketing and positioning that makes them worth earning.
  • Drive organic discovery through SEO. Partner with our SEO agency to own search strategy for Academy landing pages and educational content. Ensure courses and tutorials are positioned to capture high-intent developer search traffic and continuously improve organic reach over time.
  • Lead end-to-end course launches. Own the go-to-market process for every LangChain Academy course, from launch planning and cross-functional coordination to promotional execution across docs, socials, the LangChain website, email, and community channels.
  • Own LangChain Academy's external presence. Manage and continuously improve the Academy landing pages and external-facing site.

Learner Lifecycle & Engagement

  • Invest in email and nurture flows for enrolled learners. Partnering with lifecycle marketing to build and optimize onboarding sequences, course completion nudges, and flows that keep learners progressing and guide them toward their next course or certification.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Content Manager on pathways and bundles. Work closely with the Education Manager to develop and market curriculum pathways and course bundles that help learners understand how to progress through the Academy and make it easy to take the next step.
  • Optimize for enrollment and engagement. Take a growth mindset to the learner funnel. Understand where learners drop off and make data-informed decisions about how to fix issues.

Partnerships & Community

  • Build educational distribution partnerships. Identify and develop co-marketing and distribution opportunities with learning platforms (LinkedIn Learning, DataCamp, and similar) and AI/ML communities that can expand Academy's reach to the right audiences at scale.
  • Think systemically about developer onboarding through education. Be the person always asking: how do we use education to get more developers successfully building on LangChain? Bring ideas, run experiments, and build programs that move the needle on product adoption through learning.
  • Own the YouTube education content calendar. Maintain and drive the content calendar for education-focused YouTube videos and tutorials, working closely with education engineers and deployed engineers to plan, schedule, and promote content consistently.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Own top-of-funnel enrollment numbers. You're accountable for Academy enrollment as a metric. Always have a point of view on what's driving it, what's holding it back, and what to do next.
  • Track what matters beyond enrollment. Work with the Technical Content Manager to analyze reporting on learner engagement, course completion rates, drop-off, NPS, and content performance across Academy and YouTube. Use the data to inform what gets made, how it gets promoted, and where the experience needs work.

What We're Looking For

  • Systems thinker with a growth mindset. You're organized and process-oriented. You can own a CMS, run a content calendar, and manage a launch, but you're always thinking about what would move the number and how to test it.
  • Developer empathy. You understand what earns trust with technical audiences. You know the difference between educational content developers find genuinely useful and content that feels like a tutorial-shaped ad.
  • Strong communicator and writer. You can write crisp promotional copy, a clear course description, and a launch brief, and you have a POV on tone that feels credible and human, not corporate.
  • Collaborative operator. You're comfortable working across the Technical Content Manager, education engineers, deployed engineers, lifecycle marketing, brand design, and an external SEO agency, synthesizing different inputs into a coherent plan and owning execution.
  • Technical curiosity. Genuine interest in AI and the developer ecosystem. Familiarity with LangChain products or similar tools is a strong plus. You'll need to understand what we build and who we build it for in order to market it well.

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing developer education, online courses, or technical content programs
  • Familiarity with LMS or course CMS platforms (we use Thinkific)
  • Experience building or launching certification or credentialing programs
  • Background in developer marketing
  • Experience with YouTube content strategy and growth for technical audiences
  • Prior experience working with an SEO agency or owning organic search strategy for a content-heavy site
