BSA Operations Manager
The BSA Operations Manager will run and scale onboarding, monitoring, sanctions screening, investigations, regulatory reporting, and training for a regulated fintech’s BSA/AML and Sanctions program. The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of U.S. financial-crime regulations.

Responsibilities
- Own client onboarding, including know-your-business onboarding and due diligence for new clients.
- Manage risk-based CDD refresh and transaction monitoring across fiat and digital assets.
- Operate sanctions and risk screening within the Trust Bank’s compliance gate and manage resulting reporting.
- Investigate suspicious activity and own regulatory reporting, record-keeping, management reporting, and Board reporting.
- Maintain funds-transfer and Travel Rule compliance across transaction types.
- Design and deliver BSA/AML and Sanctions training for the team, and support training for Management and the Board.
- Supervise and grow the BSA/AML analyst team.
- Support independent testing and regulatory examinations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on BSA/AML/Sanctions experience at a bank, trust company, or regulated fintech.
- Direct ownership of CIP, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, OFAC screening, and SAR investigation and filing.
- Strong knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN regulations, OFAC sanctions requirements, and funds-transfer and Travel Rule recordkeeping.
- Experience operating or tuning transaction monitoring and sanctions screening systems and managing alert and case workflows.
- Clear writing, examination-ready documentation, and strong investigative judgment.
- Ability to work in ambiguous, build-from-scratch environments.
Nice to Have
- Digital-asset AML and Sanctions experience, including Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic.
- Experience at a national trust bank, OCC-regulated institution, or through a de novo charter and early examinations.
- Experience implementing AI and ML systems to improve quality and productivity.
- CAMS, CFCS, or comparable certification.
- Experience supervising or building a team.
