Responsibilities
High-Priority Customer Technical Leadership
- Partner with Docker’s most important customers and cross-functional teams to accelerate container and AI journeys, with a focus on developer workflows.
- Gather customers’ technical and business goals and challenges related to their container and AI journeys.
- Create and manage engagement plans spanning existing products and new Docker offerings.
- Oversee design-partner rapid-prototyping engagements with engineering and customer teams to validate customer-product fit.
- Create, manage, and deliver custom demos and content aligned with customer use cases.
- Deliver enablement and best-practices content to audiences ranging from developers to C-level executives.
- Travel internationally up to 50% as a senior Docker representative.
Docker Field Technical Leadership
- Serve as a thought leader for an assigned area of responsibility, internally and externally.
- Create, manage, and deliver technical content with fellow Docker employees.
- Gather field feedback from customer teams and pre- and post-sales teams.
- Coordinate with the Field CTO and Solutions Architects to prioritize field requests for product and engineering teams.
- Work directly with product and engineering teams on workflows and feature alignment based on customer use cases and revenue impact.
- Act as the customer zero for new functionality.
- Provide input on internal and customer technical enablement needs and review enablement content.
- Assist sales enablement with internal technical enablement for new products and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect in complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience managing customer relationships at technical and business levels.
- Experience presenting solutions and demonstrations to small and large audiences, virtually and in person.
- Experience working with technical support, product, and engineering teams to improve documentation, enablement, product features, and customer experience.
- Experience developing application code and understanding developers’ day-to-day challenges.
- Ability to solve technical problems and translate customer experience into actionable engineering feedback.
- Experience developing collateral that supports best-practice adoption.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, containers, DevOps, and modern application architectures.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.
