Senior Product Manager, Hardware - Lyft Urban Solutions

Own the strategy, development, launch, and sustaining lifecycle of Lyft Urban Solutions’ bikeshare station hardware portfolio. The role requires 5–6+ years in product management, product design, or consulting, with strong cross-functional leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and align cross-functional partners and teams—including engineers, operators, designers, data scientists, marketers, and business partners—to drive a shared vision for new station hardware products and ongoing sustaining work on in-market products.
  • Understand Lyft's strategic and competitive position to set team goals, success metrics, and roadmaps aligned with Lyft's mission and informed by data analysis, market research, and usability studies.
  • Identify and resolve systemic product issues affecting Lyft markets and customers, taking decisive action to address them.
  • Communicate clear roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions to audiences ranging from partner teams to executives.
  • Represent Lyft in external forums and with customers to drive product adoption.
  • Work with software product management, program management, and related functions to develop cohesive experiences for riders, operators, and cities.

Requirements

  • 5–6+ years of experience in product management, product design, or equivalent consulting experience.
  • Passion for micromobility and sustainable urban transportation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way.
  • Ability to define and analyze metrics that inform product success.
  • Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about product ecosystem dynamics.
  • Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy across teams, the company, users, press, and other audiences.
  • Ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing and deploying end-to-end hardware products.
  • Experience with micromobility vehicles and platforms.
  • Experience leading post-launch optimizations, including testing and product improvement strategies.
