Responsibilities
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to uncover opportunities and validate product hypotheses.
- Design rapid experiments and prototypes to validate ideas, mitigate risks, and define the minimum viable product.
- Analyze usage data and customer feedback after launch to iterate and lead go/no-go decisions on scaling or pivoting.
- Define the strategic roadmap and North Star metrics while balancing engineering, design, and business constraints.
- Identify, assess, and resolve roadblocks and risks through mitigation strategies.
- Lead cross-functional squads of engineers, designers, and data scientists without direct line management.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance on pricing, positioning, go-to-market strategy, and long-term unit economic models.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Product Management experience.
- At least 3+ years focused on 0-to-1 product development, startup environments, or founding Product Manager roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or a regulated industry such as FinTech, HRTech, or Healthcare.
- Experience as a Software Engineer is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous and undefined environments.
- Expert understanding of Lean Startup methodologies, experiment design, and data instrumentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, understand technical architectures, and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Ability to participate in discussions involving system architecture, product design, and software development cycles.
- Understanding of AI/ML capabilities, limitations, and data requirements, including frontier LLMs and rule-based systems.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and influencing skills, with the ability to secure executive stakeholder buy-in.
- Ability to serve as a central communication hub for clients, executives, and teams.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada; sponsorship is not available.
Compensation and Benefits
- National pay range: $129,000 CAD–$160,000 CAD.
- Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
- Eligible roles may receive stock options, bonuses, merit increases, or sales commissions.
