Engineering Manager - Core Infra
Own Core Infra team end-to-end: set priorities, raise execution quality, and turn ICs into a self-organizing team. Requires 8+ years building production software (4+ in startups) managing platform engineers, plus deep familiarity with high-throughput and AI-powered systems.

What you'll work on
- Own the health, direction, and delivery of the Core Infra team
- Set clear priorities and a roadmap your team understands
- Raise the bar on team-level execution quality
- Build a team that self-organizes
- Coach and develop engineers with clear expectations and direct feedback
- Drive operational rigor proactively, defining SLIs/SLOs and getting ahead of reliability and tech-debt issues
- Act as the default liaison to GTM, FDE, CX and other cross-functional partners
- Pick up technical work alongside your team when it helps
What we're looking for
- 8+ years building production software with at least 4 years in a startup environment, managing platform engineers directly
- Deep familiarity with high-throughput, data-intensive systems, workflow/automation engines, or AI-powered platforms in production
- Experience managing full stack engineers
- Track record of turning individual contributors into a high-performing team
- Strong enough technically to lead architecture discussions, review work credibly, and contribute to code
- Fluent and opinionated about AI tooling and how it changes how teams build
- Experience setting roadmaps and priorities in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Point of view on high-performing engineering teams and experience driving reliability, quality, or operational metrics like DORA
- Give direct, constructive feedback that people can act on
- Clear written communication
Nice to have
- Experience in Trust & Safety or abuse prevention
- Experience operating at the Product ↔ Engineering boundary, or in a customer-facing engineering capacity
