Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday modules, including Core HCM, Absence Management, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Performance & Talent, and Time Tracking.
- Troubleshoot Workday operational issues, including time-off inconsistencies, absence-plan discrepancies, and benefits-related integration issues.
- Resolve system, data, and process issues affecting HR workflows and downstream integrations in partnership with HR, Finance, Benefits, and IT.
- Provision access and create custom reports and dashboards, including Discovery Boards and Workday Hubs.
- Support and troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations and data loads using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Cloud Connectors, and Workday Studio.
- Provide production support by triaging tickets, supporting end users, researching solutions, and delivering enhancements.
- Support annual advanced compensation and merit-cycle configuration, including equity and bonus programs.
- Support US open enrollment and global benefits compliance configuration.
- Communicate system impacts, process changes, and data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop process documentation, playbooks, end-user training, and best-practice recommendations.
- Maintain case notes and documentation in ServiceNow.
- Plan and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Improve consistency, standardization, and controls across HR workflows.
- Provide informal mentoring on Workday functionality, reporting, and HRIS practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of HRIS experience with hands-on Workday configuration and global implementation experience.
- Experience supporting multiple Workday modules, including HCM, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Performance & Talent, Time Tracking, and Reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday foundational concepts, business processes, EIBs, security, reporting, and calculated fields.
- Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday APIs using SOAP and REST.
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services technologies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with integration middleware or iPaaS solutions such as Boomi or Workato.
- Workday Pro Certification.
- Experience using AI tools such as Workday Agents, Copilot, or Claude to automate tasks and processes.
