About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional projects across Workday functional areas, including Core HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Talent, and Performance.
  • Review, test, and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Capture business process requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Identify and resolve process flaws or issues, recommending improvements and alternative approaches.
  • Suggest process and customer-service improvements, policy changes, and creative solutions while following established policies.
  • Use technology and automation tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, test, and implement small- to medium-sized projects.
  • Develop and manage audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and consistency between systems.
  • Train team members, system users, end users, and People Team stakeholders on processes and system functionality.
  • Evaluate new technologies, application solutions, techniques, products, and tools.
  • Maintain awareness of HRIS trends, with a focus on delivery, support, and technology adoption.
  • Perform custom or standard audit reporting to ensure data quality.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar technical professional.
  • Hands-on Workday configuration experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR systems and technologies, including HRIS, payroll systems, applicant tracking systems, and learning management systems.
  • Knowledge of HR-related processes, employment laws, and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-centric and employee-experience-oriented approach to resolving questions and issues.
  • Ability to prioritize quickly in a fast-moving environment.
  • Self-motivated approach and willingness to continuously improve processes and systems.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Workday integrations and data exchange between third-party systems, such as payroll providers, benefits carriers, or time-collection systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base wage range: $136,500–$165,000 per year for the New York City office.
  • Compensation varies based on skills, relevant experience, and work location.
