Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product roadmap for Zero Gap Renters Insurance, focusing on scaling from early traction to repeatable growth.
- Deeply understand needs of property management companies, including monitoring renter compliance, managing liability risk, handling resident exceptions, and evaluating product performance.
- Partner with engineering and design to build simple, reliable, and scalable product experiences for customers and internal teams.
- Translate customer feedback, operational insights, and business goals into clear product requirements, prioritization decisions, and measurable outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve adoption, compliance rates, customer retention, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Work cross-functionally with insurance, legal, compliance, operations, customer success, sales, and finance teams to ensure responsible and profitable scaling.
- Define success metrics, monitor performance, and use data to guide product decisions.
- Bring structure to an evolving product area, balancing speed of learning with discipline for enterprise customers and regulated insurance workflows.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience as a product manager, associate product manager, product owner, or similar role building software products.
- Comfortable working on maturing products where answers are not obvious and customer needs are still being discovered.
- Strong at turning ambiguous problems into clear product opportunities, requirements, and execution plans.
- Analytical and outcome-oriented; cares about metrics but also uses customer conversations and qualitative insights.
- Can work effectively with engineers, designers, operators, customer-facing teams, and business stakeholders.
- Communicates clearly and explains tradeoffs, priorities, and decisions to different audiences.
- Strong product judgment to balance customer value, business impact, usability, operational complexity, and risk.
- Curious, structured, and comfortable learning about insurance, compliance, property management, and regulated workflows.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with B2B SaaS, insurance, fintech, proptech, compliance products, or workflow automation.
- Experience building products for enterprise or mid-market customers.
- Experience working on products transitioning from early-stage validation to scale.
- Familiarity with property management companies, renters insurance, liability coverage, or resident compliance workflows.
- Experience using product analytics, funnel metrics, customer interviews, and experimentation to guide decisions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $150,000 - $175,000 annually (final offer based on experience, expertise, location, and market data).
