Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into scalable financial data models and insights.
- Own data initiatives end to end, from ambiguous ideas through defined deliverables.
- Design and automate dashboards, analytical models, and reporting systems.
- Build and maintain data products supporting Revenue Accounting, including revenue recognition logic.
- Apply compliance-first design principles for SOX compliance, audit readiness, and data governance.
- Implement validation, monitoring, and reconciliation frameworks for financial datasets.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancement across Finance and Accounting.
- Use AI technologies and machine learning libraries to improve financial data modeling, automation, and analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering; 7+ years preferred.
- Strong SQL and cloud data fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and BI tools such as Mode, Looker, or Tableau.
- Experience building and supporting complex data pipelines with emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and traceability.
- Familiarity with financial data structures, accounting processes, and enterprise systems such as Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, or Adaptive.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Nice-to-Haves
- Public company experience and exposure to SOX compliance.
- Experience in high-growth technology environments.
- Experience implementing large-scale financial or operational systems, including ERP and enterprise data platforms.
- Project management experience.
- Experience supporting Finance and Accounting teams with scalable data solutions.
- Cloud cost management experience, especially in AWS.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in data analytics, including natural-language SQL tools, forecasting models, and anomaly detection frameworks.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: $131,000–$152,000 USD, depending on permanent work location.
- Eligible for a new-hire equity grant and annual refresh grants.
