Senior Business Data Analyst, Business Analytics

Responsibilities

• Elicit and synthesize data-driven insights into clear narratives and recommendations for recurring business reviews, strategic planning, and ad hoc deep dives.
• Translate business needs into analytical tools and metrics addressing growth levers, performance gaps, and initiative impact.
• Scope, design, build, and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and data models for self-service access to key metrics.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across teams.
• Use AI tools to accelerate querying, modeling, and synthesis while validating AI-assisted work and building scalable, reusable processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in BI or data analytics at a high-growth technology startup.
• Expert-level SQL skills.
• Experience building critical analyses and data visualizations.
• Ability to identify business challenges, recommend process improvements, investigate data edge cases, and guide operational decisions.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present to executives, business leaders, engineers, product managers, and peers.
• Strong data storytelling and visualization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, mission-driven approach.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience solving data problems in healthcare, such as revenue cycle management, provider operations, value-based care, or health technology SaaS.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Hex, and Retool.
• Day-to-day use of AI tools for querying, drafting, and synthesis.

• Base compensation: $124,000–$139,000 USD annually.
