Salesforce Architect

Responsibilities

• Design Salesforce architecture supporting systems for patient, clinician, and insurance information.
• Design integrations between Salesforce and operational tools, including security, monitoring, and failure recovery.
• Create durable data models and define system-of-record ownership across connected systems.
• Write, review, and debug Salesforce code and automation.
• Determine when to use code, configuration, another system, or no Salesforce solution.
• Explain technical tradeoffs to nontechnical stakeholders and align teams with competing priorities.
• Establish technical standards through design reviews, documentation, and mentoring.
• Improve Salesforce release processes and automated deployment workflows.
• Mentor administrators, analysts, and developers.

Requirements

• 7+ years building on Salesforce.
• At least 2 years accountable for architecture and design decisions on a large or complex implementation.
• Hands-on Salesforce development and automation experience.
• Experience designing secure, monitored, and recoverable integrations.
• Experience designing scalable data models and assigning system ownership.
• Experience communicating technical tradeoffs and reaching cross-functional decisions.
• Experience establishing technical standards through reviews, documentation, or mentoring.

Nice-to-haves

• Multi-instance Salesforce implementation experience.
• Salesforce Health Cloud and Data Cloud / Data 360 expertise.
• Experience in HIPAA-compliant or other regulated environments.
• Data security best-practices knowledge.
• Version-controlled, automated Salesforce deployment tooling.
• Experience improving release processes.
• Build-versus-configure-versus-buy decision-making experience.
• Salesforce architecture or development certifications.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $152,000–$176,700 annually.
• Fully remote work environment for employees based in the United States; Hawaii is excluded.
