Head of Early Career Recruiting

Leads the strategy, infrastructure, and team responsible for university recruiting and internship programs across technical and business functions. Requires significant experience scaling early-career talent programs, strong operational and stakeholder-management skills, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

  • Own a year-round campus recruiting strategy covering target schools, hackathons, career fairs, partnerships, budget, staffing, travel, and ROI.
  • Build a distinctive, repeatable campus presence, including event activations, candidate capture, and follow-up.
  • Launch and run the internship program from recruiting and onboarding through programming, manager enablement, and full-time conversion.
  • Design scalable application, assessment, screening, and interview workflows.
  • Partner with senior leaders and hiring managers across engineering, product, design, legal, finance, marketing, and other functions to plan headcount and early-career hiring needs.
  • Hire and manage a growing early-career recruiting team and establish its operating standards and culture.
  • Represent the company externally and build relationships with students, faculty, and university communities.
  • Measure pipeline quality, conversion, event ROI, and program performance, and iterate accordingly.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience building or scaling campus recruiting, university talent, early-career, or similarly complex talent programs.
  • Experience building systems and programs from the ground up.
  • Exceptional operational rigor and project management skills, including managing a large budget and coordinating multiple workstreams.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • Cultural fluency and strong judgment in creating relevant, energetic campus experiences.
  • Ability to work across technical and business functions.
  • Builder’s mindset, ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to experiment and iterate.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hackathons, technical talent communities, or other creative university recruiting channels.
  • Experience at a startup, high-growth technology company, or consulting or strategy environment.
