Design and deploy secure, scalable microservices and confidential-computing software, including Rust-based Runtime Encryption® for SGX. The role requires strong backend and distributed-systems experience, a bachelor's degree, and proficiency in a systems programming language.

Responsibilities
- Design and build microservices for platform services running on confidential computing.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain Fortanix Runtime Encryption® software for SGX, written in Rust.
- Help deploy, monitor, and tune software performance.
- Participate in peer code reviews.
- Follow security best practices.
- Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture.
Requirements
- Approximately 4 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong backend development experience and knowledge of distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Rust, Go, Java, or C++.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Deep understanding of observability concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
