Engineering Manager, Content Onboarding
Leads the Content Onboarding engineering team responsible for importers, exports, and internal tooling that help customers move content into Notion. The role requires strong technical and people leadership, multi-quarter strategy development, senior engineer development, and effective coordination across distributed teams.

Responsibilities
- Shape the technical and product vision for content import systems, helping customers move content from more sources into Notion and establish a trustworthy system of record.
- Clarify the near-term roadmap and de-risk technical decisions for importers, exports, and internal administrative tooling.
- Connect AI-era and agentic workflow patterns to onboarding and import experiences.
- Establish engineering excellence through reliable systems, clear operational standards, and durable practices for critical workflows.
- Set direction for a local team while coordinating with cross-functional partners and headquarters across time zones.
Requirements
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including representing team work, maintaining a high engineering bar, and de-risking decisions through clear processes, delegation, and senior IC partnership.
- Ability to create and maintain multi-quarter team strategy involving adjacent product and engineering teams.
- Experience developing senior engineers and building high-performing engineering teams with durable standards.
- Experience strengthening operating rhythms and leading distributed teams.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to use AI as a collaborator in work.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role based in Hyderabad, India; office attendance is expected on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
